Progressive Medicine is proud to welcome back Q'ero Master Don Humberto Soncco and his apprentice/translator, Wilbert Salas Atasi. This is an exceptional opportunity to continue to deepen our understanding of energy, personal power and ritual, through the practices of the Andean Paqo's, the Inca Priests of Peru. Opening Q'ero Equinox Ceremony and lecture/slideshow Friday night March 20th, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (donation $20 per person) Healing practices of the Paqo's: Teachings of the Mesa One day workshop Saturday March 21st, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. donation - $150.00 Pre-registration requested The Mesa is a bundle of sacred items and power objects used to activate profound shifts of consciousness and healing. In this class, each participant will create a Mesa as well as learn and practice the healing Mesa techniques such as cleansing and protecting. We will deepen our understanding of the Andean cosmology and learn prayers to call for the Ancestors and Spirits of the Apus (mountains) and Pachamama (earth mother) to assist us. We will then focus our prayers and intentions by creating a Hatun Despacho (an altar made of colorful offerings of herbs, flowers, and prayers) to connect to the power. Please bring a sacred cloth, something to tie around it and sacred objects to be placed within. Traditional Andean Mesa tapestries and ties will be available to buy at the time of the workshop. Cleansing and Empowerment Ceremony Sunday March 22nd, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Donation - $75 Pre-registration requested With ritual, prayers, and herbs, the Paqo's will first energetically cleanse each participant by releasing "heavy energy" and transmitting positive "light" energy. We will focus our prayers and intentions to open our hearts more fully and to live a higher state of personal being. Each participant will receive "the empowerment" to activate this shift of consciousness and healing. Private Healing Sessions available: March 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 2009 Call 860-927-1855 for appointments and availability. The above fees are minimum suggested donations. Additional monies will be greatly appreciated by the Q'ero people as they are working hard to meet their basic daily needs and well as retain and share their cultural heritage |
