YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
with Alina Hernandez For people new to yoga who want to go deeper into their practice. This class offers a easy, playful, slow- paced practice of gentle stretching, breath work, body awareness and relaxation.
YOGA LEVEL 1 & 2
with Alina Hernandez certified teacher by Rodney Yee, you will feel movement with breath in a friendly relaxed atmosphere taught with humor and compassion. Emphasis is on alignment of the body, mind and spirit. Experience increased flexibility, strength, cardiovascular and digestive health, as well as a sense of well- being and relaxed awareness.
ADVANCED YOGA
LEVEL 1 & 2 with Alina Hernandez is for students who have at least 9 months of a regular yoga practice. We will explore more advanced asanas, and go in-depth to the practice of Pranayama & meditation. You will discover a more subtle and profound understanding of the body and mind connection.
ANUSARA YOGA BASICS
with Jan (Sarala) Troy is for beginners or any level student wanting to refresh or learn basic principles of alignment, balanced actions, breath awareness and yogic philosophy celebrating the heart of the practice.
ANUSARA YOGA
LEVEL 1 with Jan (Sarala) Troy introduces students to the basic alignment and form of the postures, breath awareness and yogic philosophy. Clear instruction, a supportive environment and individual assistance will be given to students. This class is for students who are new to yoga or for those wanting to re-learn or renew the basic principles of alignment and balanced actions in a heart-felt way.
ANUSARA YOGA
LEVEL 1 & 2 with Jan (Sarala) Troy is an advanced Level 1 and introductory Level 2 class. More exhilarating postures, safe inversions, pranayama and meditation will bring wholeness and balance to the body, mind and heart.
ANUSARA INSTRUCTION
with Jan (Sarala) Troy Private & Semiprivate classes by appointment. Whether for fun, injury or pain, classes bring clarity, understanding, balance and joy back to ones practice. One hour session : $100
ANUSARA YOGA THERAPY
with Jan (Sarala) Troy Individual pain or injury requires special one-on-one attention. This session can help to relieve postural misalignments that cause joint pain experienced in the neck, back, hip, knees, etc. It can assist with stress and fatigue reduction as well as mood balancing. Jan is a certified yoga therapist. One hour session : $100
YOGA INSTRUCTION
with Alina Hernandez offers a safe and supportive opportunity to address specific needs such as injuries or need to go deeper into your yoga practice to find a sense of calm and inner peace. One hour session : $100
Jan (Sarala) Troy:
is a certifed Anusara Yoga Instructor. She has been a student of yoga and meditation for over 30 years. She has a Masters in Education from the University of California and co-authored the book "Yoga for Meditators". She also taught Iyengar Yoga for 20 years and studied intensively with BKS Iyengar in Pune, India. She teaches public and private yoga classes throughout the tri-state area and delights in the powerfully therapeutic and grace-filled aspects of Anusara Yoga. RYT-500: Registered Teacher with Yoga Alliance at a 500 hour teacher training level.
Alina Hernandez:
Alina Hernandez is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance (R.Y.T.). She has been teacher certified by renowned instructor Rodney Yee, by Richard Rozen, contributing editor for Yoga Journal, and Jimamukti trained Colleen Saidmain. Alina's training also includes work with Dr. Jamie Naughright, athletic trainer for professional athletes and dynamic anatomy teacher, as well as Anatomy workshops at the Iyengar Institute in NYC. She is featured on the covers of the Mayo Clinic and Gaiam integrated health videos. Alina has a background in dance, she began her career with American Ballet Theater. After 12 years with ABT she joined the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera.
